Who we are

Fin's 3D Prints is a small UK-based business run by Finlay, age 11, supervised by an adult. We sell hand-designed 3D-printed products online. For data protection purposes the responsible adult can be contacted at hello@fins3dprints.co.uk.

What data we collect and why

When you place an order

Payments are processed by Stripeon their secure hosted checkout page. We never see or store your card details. Stripe collects your name, email address, delivery address, and payment information in order to process your order. Stripe's privacy policy is at stripe.com/gb/privacy.

We receive a summary of completed orders from Stripe (what was ordered, the delivery address, and your email) so that we can print and dispatch your items and send a dispatch notification.

When you use the contact form

We collect your email address and the message you send us. This is used only to reply to your enquiry. We do not add contact form submissions to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Website hosting

This website is hosted by Vercel. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and performance purposes. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Legal basis for processing

We process order data on the basis of contract performance — we need your delivery address and contact details to fulfil your order. Contact form data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests — responding to your message.

How long we keep your data

Order records are retained for 7 years to comply with UK tax and accounting requirements. Contact form messages are kept for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry and then deleted.

Who we share your data with

We use the following third-party services:

• Stripe — payment processing and order management
• Vercel — website hosting
• Sanity — content management (product catalogue only, no customer data)
• Resend — sending transactional emails (order notifications, contact form replies)

We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data (where we are not legally required to retain it)
• Object to or restrict processing
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe your data has been handled unlawfully

Cookies

This site uses localStorage (stored in your browser) to remember the contents of your shopping cart between visits. This is strictly necessary for the shop to function and does not track you across other websites. We do not use any advertising or analytics cookies.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under 13. The contact form asks for a parent or guardian's email address. Payment and order data is collected by Stripe, which has its own policies regarding minors.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update.
